Sometimes, We the People, forget who owns the powers and gave "limited" amounts, with checks, balances and right of reclamation to them who think they can re-attain "Nobility" by threat of terror, by proclamation of "inherent" powers, or by other means of mental manipulation and evasion.

United States Constitution

do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America
Article I, Section 1.
All legislative Powers herein granted [ by We the People ] shall be vested in a Congress ...
Article II, Section 1.
The executive Power [...herein granted by We the People...] shall be vested in a President ...
Article III, Section 1.
The judicial Power of the United States, [...herein granted by We the People...] shall be vested in one supreme Court, and in such inferior Courts as the Congress may from time to time ordain and establish. ...
Article I, [limits]

When it says "and our Posterity", that means we must have a fiscally sound and SUSTAINABLE Democracy.
We cannot pass astronomical debts to our children and grandchildren.
We cannot pretend to be "promoting the General Welfare" by polluting the air and soil, by squandering all that is left of the oil gift which Nature has bequeathed to us, and by breeding and overpopulating like greedy, planet-consuming rats.
